“A dreamlike experience.”
Sitzen reupholstered my antique chair, a gift from my grandmother. It looks lovely, sits comfortably, and more secure than a new chair off a showroom. I am so pleased with the extra care they gave to this piece which means so much to me. It was worth the cost to have it treated with care and respect. Thank you to the Sitzen team!

“ The Upholstery Academy Course”
Richelle has taken her vast knowledge of the upholstery business and turned it into a practical, easy to understand course. This course is eye-opening, as she divulges facts about modern day furniture construction that are truly surprising. And her knowledge of fabrics and their manufactures is amazing! She's happy to share everything she's learned - I especially love that about her!"

I have a bamboo sectional patio couch from the 50s that Richelle helped me select fabric that fit the style and time period of the piece, and replaced the flat stuffing with top quality springy cushioning. It's beautiful, comfortable, and a conversation price for sure. I drove all the way to Kansas City from west of Wichita because of the personalized service and quality craftsmanship.
I'm going to head up there again soon with another sad armchair.

My humble beginnings
A little Upholstery and Design Studio called “Sitzen”
Years ago in a warehouse district in Kansas City, I started a business re-imagining vintage upholstery for modern lifestyles. I’ve seen in real life how fabrics and well-known brands wear and stand up to generations - or sometimes only a few years - worth of use. I’m excited to bring this knowledge to our clients at Coffee Creek Interiors!
